Who are these people?

Stephen Horney PT,  MPT, MTC, CSCS, SFMA, HKC

Stephen graduated from Quinnipiac University's top-ranked accelerated Masters program and began his clinical practice in 2005. For the last 13 years, he’s prided himself on combining extensive physical therapy knowledge with his own experiences as an athlete to effectively treat his patients.

Steve has been seen on CBS Newspath, and specializes in the assessment and treatment of athletes with the ultimate goal of helping them become pain free and less susceptible to injury in the future.  He works with each of his patients one-on-one to help them understand the root cause of their pain.

In his professional life, Steve worked with some of the top physical therapists in the city and managed one of New York's premiere physical therapy clinics before starting iPT.  He has also completed his Manual Therapy Certification, a 2 year matriculating program from the University of St. Augustine, studying Manual Therapy with world-renowned Stanley Paris PT PhD to develop his healing hands.  

In order to help the athletic population perform better, Steve became a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) from National Strength & Conditioning Association specializing in exercise physiology for athletes in high school to professional level and recently went on to complete his Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification.

Fernando Moreno Jr. PT, DPT, CMP 

In 2010, Fernando received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mercy College.  He is experienced as both a clinician and a trainer in locations around the tristate area.

 

Fernando understands the importance of education and maintaining a current skill set in the world of rehabilitation. Therefore, he prides himself in being a (CMP) Certified Mulligan Practitioner, Myofascial Trigger Point and Proprioceptive Therapist, and (COMT) Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist.

 

He has extensive clinical experience with:

- Outpatient orthopedic practice

- Post-operative rehabilitation

- Sports injuries

- Postural assessments

- Gait training

 

Certifications: Mulligan CMP, COMT, MTPPT, Rocktape FMT, and Rock Blades IASTM

Peter D'Aquino L.Ac., M.S., Diplomat In Oriental Medicine:

Peter is a licensed Acupuncturist in New York state and holds board certification by the Nation Commission on Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine.

He has earned a Master's degree from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York (PCOM).  Specializing in the integration of sports medicine and biomechanics with Eastern medicine. He also has advanced training in the following styles: Motor Point and Dry Needling, Trigger Point Therapy, Electroacupuncture, Neurofunctional Acupuncture, Applied Channel Theory and Japanese Acupuncture.

Peter has also been certified as a Personal Trainer

by The National Academy of Sports Medicine

(NASM). Specializing in a holistic approach to fitness, weight loss, nutrition, rehabilitation and optimizing health. Peter also has training and certification from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Oncological Acupuncture, a program combining integrative medicine and acupuncture to treat cancer patients safely and effectively.

Paula Tursi, MS, ERYT

 Paula Tursi is a partner, mother, counselor, teacher and public speaker. Founder of Reflections Center for Conscious Living & Yoga and the internationally renowned Reflections Yoga Teacher Training Program, Paula developed Reflections as a way to integrate what inspired her about various practices with her own personal truth.

 

Paula has been traveling and teaching internationally for over twenty years, and began her training at Integral Yoga, where she studied Hatha and Restorative Yoga. Her studies continued with esteemed teachers Rodney Yee and Angela Farmer, as well as Leslie Kaminoff and Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen who guided her learnings in the art of yoga, breath work, anatomy, and movement awareness practices.

 

Paula received her masters degree in Education from Hunter College and studied Psychology at Columbia University, She did her clinical post-graduate training at the Milton H. Erickson Society for Psychotherapy and Hypnosis, and she now trains exclusively with Stephen Gilligan in the practice of Generative Trance hypnosis.

Paula offers yoga, meditation and counseling as a way to facilitate structure, guidance and a more conscious lifestyle. Her classes are a candid blend of artful alignment and attention cues targeted to your body, mind and heart.

Paula Tursi, MS, ERYT and is certified at the 500-hour level with the Yoga Alliance.  She has been named one of Well + Good's Top 5 Meditation Teachers, and she is a contributing author on the book Happy Gut with Dr. Vincent Pedre.
